Responsible for testing and documenting software development activities and monitoring software security settings. Collaborate effectively with software developers, with a shared work ethic, ambition, and goal, of enabling the swift release of secured software. DevSecOps engineers know how to use one or more developer tools including GitHub, CI/CD, and dependency management. Possess a reliable problem-solving skill and the ability to apply these skills in a demanding and multi-tasking environment where more than one project may require participation at a given time. Knowledgeable about cloud-based security technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Capable of automating various operational processes with accuracy and in agreement with the security requirements. May have 2- 5 years of professional experience within the field of DevSecOps security engineering and a degree in a technical course such as computer science or engineering and/or practical certifications offered by Cisco or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Able to adapt, adjust and establish new Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support a vast range of software languages and software product team. Work closely with software development product teams to improve, adjust, and troubleshoot various security threats and vulnerabilities. Have an up-to-date experience with one or more DevOps configuration management tools and methodologies, including JIRA, Jenkins, Puppet, etc. Able to display practical skill sets in at least one modern program such as Data Science (e.g. python, Spark, Scalar), Big Data (e.g. Accumulo, Apache Solr), or Web framework (e.g. React JS, Node JS) technologies. Works under the direction and supervision of the Senior DevSecOps Engineer.
