Security Governance Engineer I, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate configures and maintains security tools, applications, and processes for smooth security operations. Creates and tunes custom detection rules to ensure security event monitoring within the internal and external environments of the organization. This may involve creating reports, dashboards, and metrics for security operations according to detected incidents and/or events. Troubleshoots networked computer systems including system integration, hardware requirements, network design, secure network and systems architecture. Installs, configures, and supports security creation of tools and services related to secure socket shell (SSH). May have 2-5 years of experience in this field, with at least one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an IT or security operations environment in one or a combination of the following: department of cybersecurity, computer science, computer software, information security, engineering, information technology & services, and any other specialized area related to security governance field. Proficient in creating automated processes utilizing popular frameworks or computer programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc. Team-up with other functional security governance engineering departments to set up and configure log aggregation utilities, monitoring network and system security logs, and supports infrastructure development, as well as working with the security teams to identify, analyze, and resolve issues relating to security operations. Understands architecting and implementing enterprise level security solutions for cloud companies such as SaaS, IaaS, etc. Demonstrates critical thinking ability for solving complex problems and multitasking during emergencies. Showcases excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and other relevant organizational skills and great attitudes towards fulfilling responsibilities in accordance to the organization’s principles. Possesses current industry certification including CISSP, GIAC, and/or SSCP, as well as security specific certifications including GCIA, GCIH, CASP, and other relevant security certifications. Assists in engineering security mechanisms to safeguard the organization’s operations and business processes. Works under the guidance of the Senior Security Governance Engineer I.
