Security Governance Engineer II, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is responsible for designing, developing, and engineering tools and solutions that meet security requirements of the organization. Contributes to the design, development, and implementation of strategic security governance projects and initiatives within an organization. Participates in security engineering, system and network security, security testing, authentication and security protocols, and application security to ensure effective security operations in and outside the organizational environment. Assists with threat management by analyzing threat intel, identifying threat vectors, performing threat modelling, and developing use cases for security monitoring based on the protocols of the organization. May have 6-10 years of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an IT or security operations environment in one or a combination of the following: department of cybersecurity, computer science, computer software, information security, engineering, information technology & services, and any other specialized area related to security governance field. Proficient in Linux shell scripting, Python, Perl, C++, and/or PowerShell, and relational databases such as MySQL and PSQL, with adequate experience in networking (TCP/IP) protocols, computer/network security, and system administration. Demonstrates strong technical background in INFOSEC operations, vulnerability assessment, and security-scanning tools, as well as deep understanding of DNS, LDAP, AD, HTTP, TCP/IP, Web browsers, Firewalls, and other network protocols. Have experience in Snort IDS or Sourcefire IDS, or other security tools and ability to adapt easily to changes in both internal and external organizational environments. Performs engineering functions on security operation center tools such as Remedy, Service manager, Symantec Antivirus and participates in developing detailed supporting documentation related to technical projects such as materials to support an architecture review board. Possesses special ability to configure, tune, and implement detection logic in security platforms according to the organization ethics. Have relevant certifications such as CISSP/GIAC/SSCP/GCIA/GCIH/CASP, and other related certifications. Works with and delivers respectful but honest feedback to the Senior Security Governance Engineer I on a regular basis.
