Evaluates and recommends new security tooling and technologies that best suits the organization’s needs. Facilitates the design, development, and implementation of security plans and policies that support smooth operations of the organization. May have Bachelor’s degree from any accredited institution in any relevant course of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May have over 11 years of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an IT or security operations environment in one or a combination of the following: department of cybersecurity, computer science, computer software, information security, engineering, information technology & services, and any other specialized area related to security governance field. Have vast knowledge in working with at least one relevant scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, and C++ and relational database systems like MySQL, SQL, and PSQL. Demonstrates high-level of proficiency using Linux and/or Windows operating systems. Familiar with the current legal and regulatory requirements around cybersecurity and privacy such as PCI, SOX, CPNI, and boasts relevant security certifications including CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, and/or CIPP. Assists with infrastructure development and supports security engineering teams in identifying, analysing, and resolving issues related to security operations, security monitoring, security incident management, and threat management. Have special ability to perform administrative and engineering work on security operation centre (SOC) tools including Remedy, Service manager, Symantec Antivirus, etc. as well as being able to manage stress and emergency circumstances excellently. Provides guidance, training and recommendations to the security governance engineering team on overall system deployment and design with an eye on security. Possesses advanced experience in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, AD, or HTTP, computer/network security, and system administration. Coordinates all the activities of Security Governance Engineer I, II, and III on behalf of the organization.
