Microservices Consultant I, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate advises clients on how to build or develop large applications by splitting them into smaller systems that can be deployed independently. Provide expert advice to clients on how to solve problems related to the design, development, testing, and use of their microservices applications. Advise clients on how to refactor a monolithic system to single independent microservices. Help clients understand the technicalities of microservice architecture, its importance, and why it is preferable to monolithic systems. Train clients and users on the proper use of microservice systems and software. Help clients define a project scope and plan the project timeline. Possess Bachelor’s degree or technical background in Computer science, Computer engineering, or any other IT related fields. Have between 2-5 years’ experience in the field with prior experience of working on complex software development projects preferably using languages like Java and Python. May know other programming languages like C++, .Net, as well as the use of frameworks like NodeJS. Be familiar with the use of microservices frameworks like Spring Boot and Lagom. May possess skills necessary for de-coupling monolith applications and subsequently designing microservices. Possess the necessary skills to solve the numerous back-end development issues common to Microservices systems. May be familiar with the use of Docker in the deployment of microservices. Should have adequate knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies and may have prior experience working in an Agile environment. Possess good communication skills for addressing clients and peers. Should be customer-oriented and solution-focused. Should be a creative thinker, a team player and a fast learner. Must be eager to learn new software or technologies and apply them in solving difficult software problems. Meet clients to help strategize and convert their objectives into realities. Collaborate with clients, technical team and development team to ensure that software products are of required quality and in line with company standards. Report directly to the Senior Microservices Consultant.
