Develop prototype software to show key design concepts and to make technical constraints known. Develop mission simulators that help train users on the use and test the spacecraft and ground software and systems. Work in a complex setting with evolving needs and requirements. Develop highly reliable software systems and provide adequate project documentation. Complete the system software life cycle by designing, installing, debugging, and validating it. Write high-quality micro-controller software with magnificent structures. Develop information systems by studying the design, development, and installation of software solutions. Develop well designed, testable, and efficient space system software. Work towards making landings and takeoffs of spacecrafts more efficient by developing various ways to track and communicate with crew members. May have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software Engineering, Space Science and technology, or in any other related field. May have 6-10 years of experience in Space Software Engineering. Proficient in the use of the Unix, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems. Proficient knowledge of a variety of Object-Oriented Programming Languages such as Java, C++, C#, etc. Familiar with communication management tools such as SVN and GIT. Conversant with the use of C++ standard libraries, OO patterns, Qt framework, and UML. Possess excellent expertise in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing of space software systems. Have an innovative approach to problem-solving and outstanding analytical abilities. Have durable software design and development skills and experience with fault-tolerant software development. Proficient knowledge of systems, computer architecture, software development, networking, remote sensing, and electronics. Work under the supervision of the Senior Space Software Engineer.
