Space Security Software Engineer II, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate creates security mechanisms to safeguard space systems software. Maintain a comprehensive and holistic software security system, address software security concerns and risks, and ensure software security assurance and integrity. Ensure the networks and space computing infrastructure remain secure and functional. Understand the Software Development Life-cycle and work with Software Engineers on tasks at hand to ensure proper implementation of space software security and that all actions follow the predetermined project timeline. Ensure the effective and suitable use of the security elements within the software of space systems as an enabler to mission success. Conduct and monitor static code analysis (SCA) as regards to program requirements. Develop Static Code Analysis reports as needed in the desired format. Occasionally work with other Software developers to analyze and resolve open source software development platform issues using static code analysis. Promote development of a strong team by taking part in tactical aspects of the project. Support the creation of cost estimates for space project propositions. Manage company-wide programs and technical priorities in relation to customer programs and technical priorities through adequate reconciliation of requirements. Work with classified documents that require thorough knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) procedures for the proper usage and safeguarding of classified information. Work with development teams and other relevant personnel as needed to provide judgement for findings. Space Security Software Engineer II Provide input and support to Cyber Security Professionals for control responses. Continually integrate with current recommendations to improve software security. This can include NIST Software Development Framework, recommendations from DISA, or other similar publications. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company or governmental department. Interact suitably with other personnel in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as required. May have acquired a Bachelor of Science degree or higher-level degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Engineering or a related technical field and have 6 or more years of related working experience working as Space Security Software Engineer.
